The Atlanta Braves have pulled even with the New York Mets for the lead in the National League East.
With seven games remaining, the two teams are tied with a 97-58 record.
While all this is going on, the Braves have a certain somebody getting hot at the right time.
Eddie Rosario, who was acquired by the Braves before last year’s trade deadline and played a big role in them ultimately winning their first World Series title since 1995, is heating up again.
Last night against the Washington Nationals, Rosario had a key two-run double as the Braves won their fourth consecutive game to tie the Mets.

Rosario Rewards Braves With Huge Night
It was smart of the Braves to re-sign Rosario once the lockout was lifted.
He was one of the key pieces to their run last year and is a guy that can play multiple positions and provide a spark from the left side of the plate.
The 31-year-old has not had the best season at the plate, hitting just .215 in 233 at-bats with five home runs and 22 RBI, but he’s hitting .333 in his last 15 games and has posted a .362 on-base percentage.
He’s in the first year of a two-year contract he signed during the offseason.
He has dealt with some injuries this season, but he’s back at the right time and looks to be heating up at the plate.
The Braves could certainly benefit from a hot and healthy Rosario as the postseason draws nearer.
That could help them get over the hump and overcome the Mets to claim their fifth straight NL East title.
A huge series looms this weekend between these two teams, and you can bet that the Braves will rely heavily on Rosario to be a sort of catalyst.
