Big things may be on the horizon for the Philadelphia 76ers.
The team has been struggling to really break through the rest of the Eastern Conference for years now.
Over the last year, the team shook off Ben Simmons and sent him to Brooklyn in exchange for James Harden.
That was a huge get for the team, which was already led by Joel Embiid, Tyrese Maxey, and Tobias Harris.

Now the new season is just weeks away and the 76ers are eager to show they can still be the Finals competitors they promise they are.
Of course, Maxey will be a part of that – and so will the team’s defense.
Both were on clear display the other day as Maxey was all about the defensive side of the game during a practice game.
He was loud, he was energized, and he was ready to stay on top of any guy with the ball.
This is the sort of atmosphere and personality that the team needs in the months ahead.
They have a huge challenge ahead of them.
Maxey Moving
Ever since Harden came to the team, Maxey has taken a bit more of a backseat than before.
But he is obviously still completely devoted to his team.
That is good because the team needs to believe in itself as it moves forward.
They need to have enthusiasm and drive in all that they do, especially if they want to overtake other teams in the East like the Milwaukee Bucks, Boston Celtics, Miami Heat, and more.
The 76ers need to produce a lot of wins this season and they need a good playoff run.
It just so happens this comes at a time when the East has never been so competitive.
