Even though the NBA trade deadline has come and gone, the Philadelphia 76ers aren’t done making moves to improve their roster and enhance their chances at postseason success.
They are already doing quite well and are holding onto third place in the East but they are looking for ways to get even better.
The Philadelphia 76ers plan to sign guard Mac McClung on two-way NBA contract out of their G League Delaware Blue Coats affiliate, sources tell @TheAthletic @Stadium. On cusp of his Dunk Contest appearance, McClung gets call up to the NBA.

On Tuesday, it was announced that the team is expected to sign G League guard Mac McClung to a two-way NBA contract.
If you recognize the name, that’s not a surprise because McClung has been making waves throughout the G League – and the greater NBA – for a while now.
He was the 2022 NBA G League Rookie of the Year and was on the 2022 G League All-Rookie team too.
He has also spent some brief time in the NBA, playing for the Chicago Bulls, Los Angeles Lakers, and Golden State Warriors on short-term contracts.
McClung is a youthful, driven, and versatile player and many people have predicted that he would eventually make his way to a permanent spot on a team.
Is this the big break he’s been waiting for and will he be in the league for the foreseeable future now?
One of the most impressive things about McClung is that he will be participating in the upcoming NBA Slam Dunk contest during All-Star weekend.
That makes him the first G League player to be in that competition.
McClung has had his shot in the NBA before but he hasn’t found a team to call his own.
That may change with this upcoming signing by the 76ers.
