Most of the teams in the NFL have their quarterback situation set for 2022.
Some NFL teams have young quarterbacks with something to prove.
Young quarterbacks, like Justin Herbert and Patrick Mahomes, have nothing to prove.
However, others still have something to prove with their NFL teams.
Which three young NFL quarterbacks have the most to prove?
3. Mitchell Trubisky
The former starting quarterback for the Chicago Bears now finds himself in Pittsburgh with the Steelers.
However, his fate as a starting quarterback could be in question.
That is because Pittsburgh drafted Kenny Pickett during the NFL Draft.

This now puts pressure on Mitchell Trubisky to win the starting job during the preseason.
So it means he’ll have to prove his starting material in Pittsburgh.
He would also need to continue to prove he’s good throughout the season, or risk being replaced by Pickett.
If he wants to prove coaching in Chicago was holding him back developing as a quarterback, now is his time to do that.
However, if he cannot prove himself, Pickett is waiting in the wings to replace him.
2. Jalen Hurts
Jalen Hurts is another young quarterback with something to prove.
While the Philadelphia Eagles made the playoffs last season with him, some fans weren’t sold on him.
If you’re a team looking to trade up for a quarterback in the 2023 Draft, there’s not a shot you can outbid the Eagles.

Hurts will need to prove those fans wrong that think the Eagles should replace him in the 2023 NFL Draft.
He’ll also need to prove that last season wasn’t a fluke with them making the NFL playoffs.
However, he can’t do these things without staying healthy or improving his protection of the ball.
His nine interceptions over his 16 touchdowns is a ratio he’ll want to work on.
But his nine fumbles last year will be the biggest place for him to focus his attention.
You can’t help the team win games if you are fumbling the football.
However, if he wants to prove his haters wrong, he’ll have fewer fumbles in 2022.
1. Tua Tagovailoa
The one young quarterback with the most to prove in 2022 is Tua Tagovailoa.
After firing Brian Flores, news came out of how he never wanted the young quarterback in Miami.
Even some Miami Dolphins fans don’t believe in Tua as their quarterback.

Now that the Dolphins made a trade for Tyreek Hill and signed several other offensive players, pressure is on Tua to perform.
Dolphins fans want an NFL playoff appearance in 2022.
The team spent a lot of money to get the players they now have.
However, it could all rest on their young quarterback’s shoulders to get them into the NFL playoffs.
If he can’t get the ball to Tyreek, or any of his other many offensive weapons, Miami might be doomed this season.
Failure to perform will also call for fans to want those “Tom Brady to Miami” rumors to be true.
That makes him the number one young quarterback with the most to prove in 2022.
Because if he doesn’t prove himself this season, ownership in Miami might rethink their choice of picking up his fifth year option.
