Despite lots of preseason hope and hype, the Green Bay Packers are just 3-3, and there is a chance they may not make the playoffs this winter.
After finishing with the best record in the NFC in each of the last three seasons, missing the playoffs would be quite the indignity for the proud franchise and its loyal fans.
Aaron Rodgers, the two-time reigning regular season MVP, is experiencing a down year so far, and some of that could be attributed to the fact that he doesn’t have Davante Adams to throw to anymore.
As great a quarterback as Rodgers is, there’s an old saying that you can’t get blood out of a turnip, and therefore it may be a good idea for the Packers to explore some trades in order to give their struggling offense a much-needed boost.
Here are three players who may be a good fit for them.
Denzel Mims
Mims, a third-year wide receiver for the New York Jets, hasn’t appeared in any games yet this season, and he is rumored to be on the trading block.
He has shown flashes of his potential in his two pro seasons, and with his speed, he could help Green Bay stretch the field vertically.
D.J. Moore
At 1-5, the Carolina Panthers are experiencing a lost season, and they may be looking to blow things up, as they traded star running back Christian McCaffrey to the San Francisco 49ers.
Moore has topped 1,100 yards in each of the last three seasons, and he could be the type of deep ball threat that would help the Packers’ cause.

Chase Claypool
Yet another young wideout with potential who has been linked to the Packers is Chase Claypool of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
"A few general managers I've spoken to are certain Green Bay is looking for potential receiver help on the trade market. One player who makes sense is Pittsburgh's Chase Claypool, who multiple execs believe was available in the preseason, though at a hefty price." https://t.co/LMRZEYX526

Last season, he put up 860 receiving yards in 15 games, and the year before as a rookie he had 873 yards and nine touchdowns.
