It is rare to see a multi-time all-star get traded, but the Utah Jazz were starting a rebuild and Mitchell had to go.
The Cavs needed another big-time scorer next to Darius Garland, and Mitchell fit the bill.

To start the season, Mitchell seems to be everything the Cavs hoped they were getting.
Eastern Conference Race
Cleveland finished last season 44-38 and was the ninth seed in the Eastern Conference.
But, they are off to a hot start this season with a 4-1 record.
The Eastern Conference is loaded this season so seeding with be crucial.

Evan Mobley’s Progression
The Cavaliers’ first-round pick in the 2021 draft was Evan Mobley.
Being selected third overall brought plenty of expectations were brought upon Mobley.
He was awesome as a rookie averaging 15.0 points, 8.3 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game.
