It is Super Bowl week.
The 12-5 Los Angeles Rams and 10-7 Cincinnati Bengals meet in Super Bowl 56 on Sunday, February 13, 2022.
For many reasons, the Rams have to like their chances in this game.

Here are the top three reasons Rams fans must be optimistic this week.
3. Experienced
The Rams have an experienced roster of players, many of whom have been in the postseason before.
It has only been a few years since Coach Sean McVay led the Rams to the Super Bowl against the New England Patriots.
That team learned a lot from that lopsided loss.
The Rams front office took care of gaping holes in the roster with trades and free agency signings.
In essence, this is a dream team of football players assembled for the express purpose of winning the Super Bowl.
Matthew Stafford, Von Miller, and Odell Beckham Jr. were the last components added in 2021; all have been successful contributors to this team’s winning ways.

2. Homefield Advantage
This is a new phenomenon in Super Bowl history.
It took 55 Super Bowls for a team to play the big game in its home stadium.
Tampa Bay won the game at home last year, and the Rams’ home-field advantage is even better than the Bucs had.
The Bucs had limited capacity in the stadium because of COVID-19.
That will not be the case for the Rams who will have a capacity crowd predominantly screaming for the home team.
Other logistical advantages happen for the home team.
There is no change to time zone, accommodations, or practice facilities.
The NFL has designated the Cincinnati Bengals as the “home team” in Super Bowl 56 but the Los Angeles Rams will be

– In their home locker room.
– Standing on their home sideline.

1. Better Roster
There is no disputing that the Cincinnati Bengals are a great football team.
However, they are beatable as evidenced by the fact that a nonplayoff team like the Cleveland Browns gave them two of their seven losses in 2021.
The Bengals’ offensive line is vulnerable.
Joe Burrow was sacked 51 times through 16 regular-season games.
He was sacked 9 times against the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round.
The Bengals need to have answers for those imposing players on the Rams defense namely Jalen Ramsey and Aaron Donald.
This game will be won or lost on the line of scrimmage, and the Rams have the advantage with both their offensive and defensive lines.
Aaron Donald has more Pro Bowls (8) and All-Pro selections (7) than the Bengals have as a team (7 PB, 0 AP) https://t.co/QolZf6jnhX

Conclusion
If the Rams jump out to a quick lead, they will be tough to stop.
The Bengals cannot fall behind and expect to come back as they did with the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship.
As for the Rams offense, Matthew Stafford will rise to the occasion that many expected he would experience as the first overall pick of the 2009 NFL Draft.
He will lean on the potential NFL MVP Cooper Kupp who if he has a good game could make a run at both the NFL and Super Bowl MVP honors.
