The Philadelphia Phillies have done a great job in free agency this year.
They have added a few impact players and even one of the best free agents available in Trea Turner.
But, due to all the player signings from other teams, the Phillies had to let a few of their own walk.
Even though they tried to fill some of those holes, here are the two players the Phillies will miss most in 2023.
Jean Segura, Second Base
One player who became a fan favorite in Philadelphia was Jean Segura.
In his four seasons with the Phillies, Segura hit .281 with a .755 OPS.
He was a consistent force in their lineup and had plenty of clutch hits over the years.
None were bigger than the game-winning hit he had against the Cardinals in the wild-card round these past playoffs.

Despite being 32 years old, Segura got a nice contract from the Miami Marlins due to his production in Philadelphia.
As he remains in the NL East, Segura will get plenty of chances to play against his former team in the coming years.
Zach Eflin, Pitcher
One pitcher that flew under the radar in Philadelphia the past few seasons was Zach Eflin.
He missed plenty of time due to a plethora of injuries, but he was productive when on the field.
In his last four seasons in Philadelphia, Eflin never had an ERA over 4.17.
He could consistently get the job done as a third or fourth starter.
Eflin even had a few appearances out of the bullpen during the playoff run.

Every championship team needs to have solid contributors all over their roster.
Eflin was just that for the Phillies throughout his tenure.
The righty signed a three-year $40 million deal with the Tampa Bay Rays this offseason.
