The Week 15 NFL slate brought us plenty of top-notch games and some fantastic finishes.
With one month left in the regular season, every game matters for each contending team.
But, in the NFL the only thing that matters is whether you win or lose the game.
There are two teams in particular whose record does not reflect their recent play.
Here are the two NFL teams that are much better than their record.
Detroit Lions
The Detroit Lions do not stop winning.
After starting the season 2-6, all hope of a successful season looked lost.
But, the Lions have caught fire of late.
Detroit has won six of their last seven games and now sits on the cusp of the playoff picture.
Both sides of the ball have improved for the Lions over their win streak.
With the defense stepping up and playing at a high level of late.
This was the worst defense in football through the first eight weeks.
But, they have been stout of late.
The offensive firepower of Detroit led by Jared Goff should have many teams fearing them.
With a record of 7-7, the Lions will most likely need to win out to get into the playoffs.

But, they end the season against three teams with losing records, so it is certainly possible.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Another team that had a bad start to the season is the Jacksonville Jaguars.
But, just like the Lions, they are catching fire at the right time.
The Jaguars have won three of their last four games and now are in striking distance for the AFC South title.
The play of quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been a big reason for the Jags’ recent surge.
He has thrown 11 touchdowns and only one interception over the past four games.

It looks like Lawrence is becoming more conscious of limiting the costly turnovers.
There is no question the Jags have what it takes to win the AFC South, especially with the Titans leaking oil.
But, the matchup between the Jags and Titans in Week 18 seems likely to decide the division title.
