Every season, the NFL sees some players who are getting more money than they are worth.
While some are young players who hit a bad patch, others are veterans who have hit their peak.
During the 2022 season, there are two players who are making more money than they are worth.
2. Aaron Rodgers
Right before the 2022 NFL season began, Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers got a nice contract extension.
His contract gives him plenty of money, but it hasn’t helped his numbers this season.
On first read of #Packers QB Aaron Rodgers' new contract, he gets:
$42 million in 2022
$59.515M in 2023
$49.3M in 2024So that's $150.815M over the next three years, and the first two are fully guaranteed at signing.

This season has already seen him throw seven interceptions, his most picks thrown since 2016.
He’s also seen low production numbers when throwing deep.
While some blame his rookie receivers, it’s still on him to work with them throughout the season.
Instead, he skipped playing in the preseason and some of the team’s mini-camps.
These things are now hurting him, as the rookie receivers are just now learning how Rodgers operates.
1. Russell Wilson
When Russell Wilson came to the Denver Broncos in a trade, the team didn’t wait long to give him a new contract.
While the deal gives him $165 million in guaranteed money, it’s not guaranteeing the Broncos any wins.
He’s having one of his worst seasons as a quarterback.
With him projected to pass for 14 touchdowns now, it will be his worst career outing for touchdown passes.
He’s also having a career low in completion percentage, hitting below 60% for the first time in his career.
While the Broncos thought Wilson could ignite their offense, he’s instead been a disappointment for most of their season.
