The St. Louis Cardinals are coming off a disappointing season that saw them get upset in the wild-card round.
Despite having an impressive regular season that saw them win 93 games, the Cardinals need to make plenty of moves this offseason.
They bring back two MVP candidates in Paul Goldschmidt and Nolan Arenado, and should be looking to compete for a World Series next year.
Here are two moves the St. Louis Cardinals need to make this offseason.
Add An Established Catcher
The Yadier Molina era in St. Louis has come to a close.
As the team moves away from one of their franchises best players, finding his replacement is key.
The Cardinals should go all-in by signing the best catcher available in Willson Contreras.

Also, signing him away from the Chicago Cubs would hurt their division rival.
Contreras has hit at least 20 home runs in each of his last three full seasons.
St. Louis has gotten almost nothing offensively out of their catchers in recent years.
This offseason would be a great time to address the position.
Sign An Outfielder
The Cardinals should also be looking to address their lack of outfield depth.
St. Louis had a revolving door in left field last year, mostly due to Tyler O’Neil missing a large chunk of the season.
Also, the Cardinals have a young outfield.
Most of their outfielders will be entering their second or third season.
Adding a veteran in free agency would be wise.
Some players they should look to sign include Andrew Benintendi, Michael Conforto or Mitch Haniger.
An established veteran that can play everyday if needed could help the Cards make a deeper playoff run next season.
