Now that MLB free agency is underway, it is time to see which players will find new homes.
In a league full of player mobility, players moving from place to place is nothing new.
But, some free agents need it more than others.
Here are two MLB free agents that need a fresh start this offseason.
Joey Gallo
One of the best pure power hitters in baseball is outfielder Joey Gallo.
In three of the four seasons, Gallo has played at least 100 games he has hit 38+ home runs.
His power or defense has never been the question, but his ability to put the bat on the ball consistently is.
Gallo has a career batting average of .199 and last season he batted .160 over 126 games.
It was clear playing in New York and Los Angeles hurt the slugger more than helped.
So this offseason he needs to find a change of scenery, particularly to a smaller market team.
“The Pirates might be willing to take a shot on Joey Gallo, 29, who’s spent the past three seasons trying to get his career on track.” – @RobBiertempfel
Interesting.

If he can go somewhere and not worry about pressure playing for a team like the Yankees or Dodgers, he could have success.
After all, the best seasons of his career were with him on a struggling Texas Rangers team.
Nelson Cruz
What teams are in the market for a right-handed power bat?
If so, you should be interested in Nelson Cruz.
After playing all of last season in Washington, Cruz had a lost year.
He struggled to hit home runs, and only batted a .234.
But, hope should not be lost on the soon-to-be 42-year-old.
Cruz is in the final few years of his career but he can still contribute to a contending team.
Put him around some good players and allow him to drive in runs.
The hope is Cruz still has one good season left in his bat.
