Now, he is struggling to find a team that will keep him.
Cousins is currently a free agent and remains unsigned as the new season quickly approaches.
The player is just 31 years old and still has some gas left in the tank, especially based on what we saw him do during his last stint with the Denver Nuggets.
How is Deandre Jordan still on an NBA roster but Demarcus Cousins isn’t… 🤦♂️🤦♂️ pic.twitter.com/rw4fKqYs7I

The fact that Cousins isn’t signed while other centers who are often considered weaker than him are is upsetting quite a few fans.
Will Cousins make the cut with a team and return to the NBA this season or is he just off the radar of all the squads in the league?
Cousins Coming Back?
During his 31 games with the Nuggets last season, Cousins averaged 8.9 points and 5.5 rebounds in 13.9 minutes per game.
Those are impressive numbers and show that Cousins still has a lot of skill on the court.
So, what gives and why aren’t other teams knocking at his door more than a month into free agency?
Some people assume it’s because Cousins is known to be a little rough around the edges with a personality that doesn’t always work well with other players.
However, he has calmed a lot compared to how he was in the early years of his NBA tenure.
Still, it’s hard to change a perception like that.
There are a few teams who would be wise to sign Cousins, such as the Portland Trail Blazers, Toronto Raptors, Miami Heat, or even the Nuggets again.
We don’t know where Cousins could be headed but it would be a shame if he doesn’t land anywhere.NEXT: LeBron James’ Blunt Statement Raises Eyebrows
